Samsung Display said in April last year that it would invest 4.1 trillion won by 2026 in the IT OLED field. On March 8, Samsung Display held the “A6 production line equipment introduction ceremony” at Asan campus in Chungcheongnam-do, officially announcing the start of the construction of 8.6-generation IT OLED production line.BOE announced in December last year that it would invest 63 billion yuan to build 8.6-generation OLED. BOE is discussing the price of 8.6 generation evaporator with Canon Tokki of Japan and Sunic System of South Korea. LG Display is considering whether to invest in OLED market due to lack of funds, and has not yet announced its investment in 8.6 generation OLED.
As for TCL, Korean media also mentioned in the article that the company through the display subsidiary Huaxing Optoelectronics CSOT announced the production of inkjet printing OLED panels in the second half of this year, and is currently preparing to invest in OLEDs for IT. although it has not yet released a specific 8.6 OLED investment plan, but according to industry forecasts, TCL is likely to announce additional investment plans within this year.
